Our wipes are preserved with a gentle, non-protein amino acid derived from organically grown soybeans in Japan. Used in trace amounts (less than 1%), this ingredient helps keep wipes fresh, stable, and free from mold and microbial growth.
It is not soy protein, not allergenic, and does not function as a food allergen. Instead, it’s a topical, plant-derived amino acid widely used in Japanese skincare for its stability and skin-friendly properties.
Why we use it:
- Helps prevent microbial growth in moist, water-based wipes
- Supports shelf stability without harsh preservatives
- Gentle enough for sensitive skin
- Used intentionally at <1% — only what’s needed, nothing extra
Because wipes are water-based, every wet wipe requires an antimicrobial system. We intentionally chose one of the cleanest, most gentle options available, and we source it organically from Japan — just as we source our purified water from New Zealand.
